There are just eight days left of the Edinburgh International Science Festival, an annual event which encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to discover the wonders of the world around them. The Festival was the world’s first celebration of science and technology, and remains one of Europe’s largest.

This year’s theme is ‘Science at the heart of things’, and there is a multitude of events and interactive activities throughout the centre of Edinburgh. Alicia Simpson went along to join in the fun.
